The plot unfolds when authorities, conducting a 10-week evaluation at Rani’s home, observe her adhering to Indian cultural practices. Consequently, they intervene, taking away both babies without their parents’ knowledge and handing them over to the Child Welfare of Norway. The movie’s focal point becomes our protagonist’s struggle against the Norwegian authorities, alongside her in-laws.

Turning to the performances, Rani Mukherjee, without a doubt, immerses herself in the character. As a Bengali, she captures the accent flawlessly, portraying the mother’s helplessness with great depth. Numerous scenes evoke emotions, yet the mother’s resilience in overcoming obstacles brings a smile as you leave the theater. Reflecting on a quote from “KGF” where Rocky bhai states, “Is Duniya mein sabse bada yoddha Maa hoti hai” (In this world, the greatest warrior is the mother), it resonates in this context.
