Often we say that truth tastes bitter. This is exactly how I felt after watching class of 83, I thought that this film is more of a suicide squad that is coming out from a not so liberal system. The approach of this film is kept so real and settled that you will be dawned on the setting of the film. It’s a movie with a different texture, unlike contemporary Hindi movies, making it unique with its storytelling and the story. It’s a well-executed piece of work. What made it special is its narrative style, subtle and layered. I was quite impressed by the screenplay, the run time, and a different treatment of telling the story. It’s more of a drama thriller than an action thriller. It’s a slow burn piece of work with a strong overall impact. Class of 83 doubles as an efficient & edgy action thriller and a character-driven drama that rides strongly on good research, proper detailing, and a solid ensemble of fresh actors It’s also decked with a homage to films of the ’80s. Bobby Deol acted well in this. He was surprisingly the best of the lot. The newcomers made a promising debut too.

I just wish it was a bit longer, as the film became too fast-paced and ended quicker than expected. I feel Netflix missed a golden opportunity here. Class of 83 could have been a cult film of OTT. It was in fact, more suitable to become a web series. The source content easily had enough material for that. Some portion might feel a bit rushed, but overall the film is good and worth a watch. I would like to salute the Director for this attempt. Now where most of the directors and producers are busy launching star kids, this movie has given opportunities to new talent. I must say that those young talents have done a fabulous job and to me, it never appeared that it’s their first movie. Talking about Bobby Deol, it’s so good to see him after so long and he did a decent job as Dean and Police officer. Anup Soni uses all his experience of crime patrol.

Talking about the movie it’s different from Bollywood drama.
In the end, I would just say that it’s a must-watch movie. If you are not watching you are missing one of the finest movies in the country.

Thank You
